Shakin’ It
Posted on April 27, 2008
I am sure a lot of you who reside within the US heard about the earthquake centered in southern Illinois. In fact, the epicenter was only about an hour and ten minutes from where I live. I woke up on both and it was really strange. I had only experienced things like tornadoes, never earthquakes. The floor shook, the walls vibrated and creaked, even sounded like a bit of cracking too. The only thing was that I thought it was so cheesy that the news was calling it “The Quake of ‘08″.
By the way, I still recommend Twitter. If you do join, add me and I will do the same.
I have a new person on my blogroll/ link exchange: Gina of Urban Glam. Gina use to be the webmistress of Endless Dreamz, but got a new site. She is a nice gal to know and has a site worth the visit. Anyone else interested in blogroll or link exchanging, please comment. :angelic: I am definitely looking for new people that can tolerate a busy girl like me for their online friend.
I have been getting a bit creative lately. Due to a few suggestions by friends, I am bringing back an old hobby. For those who have followed me from Petals In the Wind to Blueberriez, and now here at Blondish, I use to hand make jewelry like bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. I also use to hand make fabric purses as well. For right now I am going to re-introduce my handmade necklaces. I am no longer doing entire bead, string, or wire work. I am using waxed linen cord, which is easier to work with and I can vary the beadery to make a statement. I am including a link to the page. They are for sale and the price includes the price for shipping within the US and also outside the US. I can also take requests. Most of the beads range between metal, plastic, glass, porcelain, crystal, and real stones. Despite this being a plug, I am proud of my creations, so it never hurts to look. I am a fan of window shopping myself.
If you are interested in just looking or even purchasing, you can go here to see my handmade necklaces. Usually any purchase on this site goes to future activities like the giveaways. :applause:
For the site, I updated and added 10 more ringtones, equalling 35 to download for free. To give you an idea, the new ones I added feature artists like: Plies, AC/DC. Aaliyah, T-Pain, Aerosmith, Webbie, Nirvana, Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, and J Holiday. Remember, you save the zip file on your computer, open it. There is a WAV file and a MP3 file to increase the chance that it is compatible with your phone. If both your phone and your computer have Bluetooth capability, use that to download. If not, use your phone’s USB cord to download if you have that. :jig:
Something I found to be a quick laugh. If you have not, try it:

Wow, that’s pretty scary about the earthquake, and yeah, I’ve heard about it. But anyways, wow, that’s great about your hobby! I actually do remember it… So I guess I’ve known you for a loong while, huh? Hehe.
I didn’t hear about the earthquake (I need to watch the news more, lol).
I’m glad you weren’t hurt or anything.
Nice necklaces. I like the ladybug one the best.
I’m always looking for more people online to talk to, so here I am commenting. I remember commenting on this site a while ago and just found you again through some random blog-hopping. I hate when you stumble upon a site and you sit there thinking “I remember being here all the time–what happened?”
Your necklaces are really pretty, good job!
hey, thanks for plugging me in your blog that was sweet of you, yea i heard the earthquake on the news, i live over in PA so i didn’t feel anything, I think, no I am pretty sure that if I was in an earthquake I would pretty much freak out and not know what to do, you see them on movies and they just scare the heck outta me.
I’d love to link exchange! I’ll link your site as soon as I update the next time, probably today or tomorrow
I think I have experienced twice in my life and one of them was really shakey.
anyway, I am interested with exchange links.
Awww! Nile thanks so much for the Chocolate bday card thingie. It was so cute and def made my morning! Thanks dear!
Thanks for the car advice. It was really helpful. lol at the need for speed. I totally feel you on that one. I can only imagine what you got now totally fits the speed bill!! Vroom vroom.. Hopefully I can snag myself an Aveo and call it a day. They are decent as mentioned and well I just need SOMETHING you know? Yikes on the Earthquake. I know ya’ll probably are not used to the rolling, Im in California, so it’s the norm for me but they are indeed pretty freaky. We had early this year, which was bigger then we’ve had in a while and I was out the door quicker then I could have even believed LOL they can be fun, minus any really crazy damage and stuff like that. But that might just be the weirdo in me hehe! If you still need help for all your projects mentioned in blogs previous, let me know. I’d love to help
I actually hadn’t heard about the earthquake xD But that is probably because I don’t live in the states… nor do I read the news or watch it on TV. We had a tiny one once, barely enough to shake the bed (my dryer shakes the house more!) but it still freaked me out knowing it was an earthquake!
I remember your jewelry-making hobby!
They’re very nice, I love the blue ones. (Haha, I like looking at jewelry but actually don’t wear any. O_o) There was this one site I found a while ago, it was so awesome, had loads of info and guides on jewelry-making stuff. I’ll let you know if I remember the URL. There’s just so many techniques that I wanted to try (although it’s unlikely that I ever will =/ ), like wire wrapping and making the beads, etc..
The quiz gave me the name “Sandra Spunk”. O_o
i think i heard of the earthquake =( that really stinks. i experienced on down in california.
and good luck with selling the necklaces! the only necklace i wear is my “E” necklace. i never take it off O_O
And cool! I didnt know you offered ringtones =) Nice. I’ll check em out.
