A Leaf from Her Diary
(2006)
Carefully she turns the page
slowly pouring over the lines of ink
her brow furrowed slightly
sometimes softly
sometimes rigid
the memories come back
fresher than a newly released movie
and then a page comes
it hurts for her to touch
her eyes fill with tears
then drip adn smear the ink
this apge
just one of her regrets
she lingers a bit longer on the words
reading them over and over
becoming more and more upset
until finally she is frustrated
and then turns the page
once she does, she sighs in relief
her eyes again calm
brows furrowed slightly
as she reads last years memories
all tucked snuggly in her journal
