To Not Desire

Desire
To not desire
Do I desire you, you ask
I start placidly, making my answer careful
though I am afraid I can be nothing but blunt
No, I do not desire you, I reply
I am afraid I do not
though you still look lustfully at me
I am not quite repulsed, more flattered
because you are honest in asking this
so it is not classified as crude
But I will tell you this:
Never ask again,
for I do not desire you
and I will never for my entire life
That is just how destiny
Desire
or not to desire
And frankly, it is not to desire you
