Expect to See this Week of 12/29/08

I have really been in high gear lately on my projects, so I wanted to list what I want to finish by the end of the week, just for Blondish.net alone. First, I will mention what has already been done over the last two months.

What has been done:

• Upgrade in WordPress version. Blondish.net is operating with version 2.7
• Added a contact form
• Re-organized pagination structure
• Organization of sidebar
• Installed a sitemap generator
• Installed a post archive generator
• Added new emoticon/ smilie sets
• Revamp as well as submission of new articles including webmaster resources, and recipes
• Activation of rss feed. Subscribe and leave me a comment. If you have an rss feed, I will go and subscribe to yours. Also, I offer link exchange in tie with this.
• Re-release of PixelledADS as PHPads

That seems like a lot, but there is a lot more to do. Here is this weeks to-do list:

• 5 new smilie/ emoticon sets
• 5 new WordPress layouts for download
• Post a few free vexels for anyone’s use (this was a request by a reviewer at Rev.iew.me)
• 15 5 new background - 10 Backgrounds Tiles (great to decorate your twitter)
• Fix already existing WordPress layouts for sidebar.php
• Attempt to work on a second theme for Blondish.net
• Previous Blondish.net themes will be converted and ready to download including the Mustang theme that uses the same vexel I have featured in the current layout.
• Put up my in-house network banners once more

This is my priority list for just this week alone. A lot, huh? Wish me luck! As a hint, the next layout will involve a guitar vexel. I have always wanted to feature a layout with one in it.

Happy Holidays!

I enjoyed watching my son open his gifts. He seemed to enjoy them. It was not easy this year to get him presents, but it was ll forgotten when seeing him play with his new toys. As an update from the Christmas Eve mess, I did not have any luck at finding one single place open. I felt like it was The Christmas Story all over again, except I was not looking for a restaurant, just somewhere to buy some chicken and some eggnog. Oh well, I cooked what I had. I was not going to go to Denny’s for Christmas dinner. As a positive note, as pathetically hilarious in my opinion, I at least was able to find a place to buy beer!

I am now exhausted after all the holiday festivities. As an ending note, thank you Simply Precious for the holiday graphic in my email!

Christmas Eve Disaster

Well, I am kind of late for blogging about Christmas Eve, but it was a very busy day. I woke up earlier than usual to my dad at the door of my house. It was not that bad, but he just wanted to go over the plans for me to help take care of his five mini Daschunds while they were in Las Vegas. After that, since I was up, I went grocery shopping for Christmas dinner, but realized I would have to put off buying anything frozen as our fridge recently broke. Well, it bit me in the ass as I had to do a few last minute Christmas shopping and by the time I was done, it was like the whole damn city decided to close shop all at once.

I was hungry by the time I got done, and wanted something fast, but not even a McDonald’s was open! I drove to five different places and not one was open. I wanted to pull my hair out! I waited until my boyfriend got home around 11PM and we ended up driving 20 miles to a Denny’s just to get something to eat! It was the ONLY thing open. So, now I am not sure if anything will be open on Christmas Day that I can buy to make a half decent meal.
