Short blog…

I did a few upgrades and plug-ins to the Wordpress, but I did have a few more to do. I have been mostly business writing a proposal for the AAPA VeteransCaucus site that I have been working on for the past year.

I have to make this blog short as we are currently in a severe thunderstorm warning in my county. It looks terrible from the west.

Luis is taking my son, Angel to Mexico by the end of the week. They will be gone to see his side of the family for about two weeks. Luis was very nice to allow him to stay this weekend. Since the pool in my apartment complex was opened, I took Angel to go swimming. I am just happy to have him over.

Twittering about…

This past weekend was fairly nice and then WHAM, it got cold and icy. That, combined with the fact that I had locked my keys and purse in my car, was a real CHILLY experience. One of my co-workers had the tools to get my car unlocked and graciously did so. I felt really embarrassed, but I was so appreciative as I would have had no way to home, let alone getting into it. :sweat:

I am hoping to start jogging outside when the weather gets warmer. I really need to jog as it really has always made me feel good. I hate doing treadmills as they are so boring.

I installed a Twitter plug-in at the bottom of the page. Twitter allows users to post snippets of their daily events in real time. This bloggish snippets are referred to as ‘tweets.’ I think it is a brilliant idea and I know WP has a tool for a smaller side blog, but the great thing about this tool is that on the website, you have the opportunity to connect or ‘follow’ other people AND be followed in return. I am currently putting together a new theme for Blondish, one with a vexel of a pink waterlily and a lilypad. I hope it turned out well as I would also like to play around more with the layout. Though the general layout will be much like the other themes, there will be a few differences.

I have updated the Patterns section with 14 new ones. There are a total of 50 for use. I hope to add 25 more ringtones by the next blogging.

Creativity or insanity…

First off, before I go into blogging, Cinnamon Gum Awards is holding its 2007 Webmaster of the Year contest this whole week. Please go on over and vote. There are only a few sites that remained eligible, so take a brief look and give your vote. :noble: The winner will receive free webhosting for a year, and a few other nifty prizes. Ack! I fell behind in blogging here. I am such a goober! Yes, I said it and admit it, so . The weather around here is really making me ticked off. One day it is sleeting and snowing and the next it is in the 40s and sunny. :droop: Honestly, I am so ready for spring and summer.

In about 2 weeks I plan to get my hair professionally done. I usually do that twice a year. Instead of remaining golden blonde, I am going lighter. It will not be platinum as I know I would not be able to pull off strutting around with that hair color, but it will be much lighter. I will have the underneath streaked with a dark brown. I have not decided if I want to put a few dark brown streaks on the top or in the top front. :annoyed: It will be different, but I am sure it will turn out great. My younger sister assures me that she remembers that I use to dye my hair much lighter than it is at this moment.

Is it me or does my bathroom lighting really suck? :shocked:

I have been a bit busy with painting. The reason for this is that I have had nothing but headaches trying to find the right painting or art print to go with my apartment. I have this thing that everything must tie together somehow, especially color- wise. My curtains (pic below) are navy with a sheer golden drapery. I have both curtains and the sides of the drapery held back with a white tassle. My floor futon pretty much has the same colors as I tend to buy something I can try to put a sophisticated theme together. I found a cute white couch at Overstock.com, but I am hoping to find one in a local store as I am not keen on assembly. Apparently the couch comes in 2 large boxes. I just want the couch delivered and ready for me to relax upon. Most of my furniture is black wood, so this couch would go great considering I already have bought both navy pillows and marigold/golden pillows. As for the paintings, I am doing 3 large 16″x 20″ paintings. They will be a bit bold, and art deco-ish. When the paintings are finished…. not necessarily dry, I will take pics.
