I always love nifty things, especially when it comes to more opportunities to check out other search engines. I came across LeapFish, which I thought was pretty cool. When I typed in ‘blondish’ a drop down appeared with possible results and immediately the search engine pulled information from Google. I also noticed that users can select to have their information pulled from other blogs, Yahoo!, Ebay, YouTube, and MSN as a single query. Not only did my own site appear near the top by the time I completed typing, but also other searchs like Yahoo! Answers and possible images and videos. I did all of this without even having to click a button!
LeapFish is boasted to be one of the fastest search engines and has been blogged about by places like MSNBC. With my search being conducted as I type it in, I am convinced it is a great resource, especially when you can also get results from other search engines there too. For anyone else interested in search engines, you can follow LeapFish‘s official blog. Is this the next step in search engines? And for those who like it, I wanted to mention that they have a toolbar you can install as well. If you need more information, take a look at their LeapFish about page.

Now there is a good thing. I love to have search engines that don’t take a lot of time to load up results.

Exactly why I chose this to review for pay… I am trying to stick with things that I am interested in and can blog about at Blondish that also reflects me.
I liked that I could just type and it would show up automatically, plus give results outside. If I were to videos or make my ebay account for selling, I might find it. Plus, if I want to know if each search engine might have something unique, I can choose that and it appears almost instantly. On dia-up it was 40 seconds (took less than 10 seconds) faster pulling from Google than me conducting the search direct from Google or the Google Toolbar.
Whoa! How did I not know about this site?! I’m so behind. I’m going to go stalk myself right now. If LeapFish plays its cards right, it’ll be my new search engine in no time.

Is it wrong that I am unwilling to try it because I am in love with google. I have tried other search engines in the past and have never stuck with one. I currently use a one that pays you, but if I want good quality searches I stick to google.

It is not wrong if you prefer another, but it never hurts to try it out. That is how you discover better tools. Plus, think about it, you can choose Leapfish to pull search from Google, so you have not lost it.
But what advantages does it have over the big G? Don’t get me wrong, different is cool, but is it better?

Well, as I was saying to Charity, I think it is great for a couple reasons:
1. It is definitely faster (as explained in reply to Charity), especially for dial-up users too
2. It pulls the information from several resources at once so you have far more infomation from several engines rather than just 1 search engine.
