So, this is a new year and after 2009, the art of social media exploded into the mainstream. People literally got wrapped up into it.

- Some succeeded and after quick results, kind of just stopped exercising and improving their marketing strategy.
- Some had to pace themselves and althought they saw great results, they want more, but found themselves lacking the time.
- Some diligently kept to the grindstone, but took the hard route.
- Some breezed through and still are on the up and up on social media techniques.

Attending conventions and readings books are great. A bit costly, but they are great tools to set you on the path. However, there are quite a few reliable and trustworthy people online who dish out tips for free. All you have to do is read, and see how you can implement it to your own plans.

For those still struggling, this year could be a year you could succeed further. You might have social network handles on at all the important places. However – are you attracting the people you need to connect with? Yes, you do need to connect with others in your niche and others who are looking to develop the skills you already have. Those in your niche… technically your colleagues- are people that can give you the input while also receiving feedback on how to achieve success. Social media marketing is great because it is relevant in the past, present and for the future of your site/company/product.

Do you have new plans this year?
