WordPress Plugin Review: WP Report Post

WP Report Post is a plugin that is pretty much self-explanatory by title alone. Created by Rajeevan, this plugin is for WordPress blogs with multiple authors or users.

It is a way report dead links, duplicate material, or even inappropriate content. The plugin works with Ajax and iQuery. Other features are:

  • Ability to restrict reporting to logged in users
  • Specify the reason for reporting
  • Ability to customize the HTML form
  • See display of reports in dashboard

and much more…

As I said this is a plugin that is best suited for multiple authors or users. Also if you use Yet Another Related Post Plugin, there seems to be an code conflict when calling the_content filter and so the form shows up after every related post list. The only known fix is to alter the template, which should not be a suggestion. A plugin is suppose to make it easier on the user without little tweaking involved. Perhaps it would be best for the plugin to be an amended customized function (like the options for TDO Mini Forms) so no theme arranging should be done?

I think this is an interesting plugin and thought I would share it. Perhaps some of you who visit can try it out and give more feedback.
